The worlds of dancing and music are both distinct art forms in their own right but at the same time they are so intertwined that some might argue they rely on each other to exist in the first place. Music entertains by creatively making sound that progresses at a regular beat, providing those listening with the opportunity to move their bodies in conjunction with this beat. Since then many different forms of music have been specifically created with dancing in mind, such as electronic dance music styles like Acid House and Garage and other more traditional dances such as waltzes, the tango and ballroom dancing, which all require a certain type of music.
However, much of the music we enjoy can be danced to, especially with songs in the charts which are popular for that very reason. At parties and discos these songs will be particularly popular if people can dance to them, as opposed to certain types of music where dancing would be near impossible.
Dancing and music are combined and inseparable; they both compliment each other in a way that makes them both very popular.
